The following is a brief synopsis of each of the main tools
offered by in the Auction Manager. Follow the link to any tool that you
wish to see a more detailed description. The detailed descriptions give
more information along with sample screen shots from the application.
The
Auction window is used to setup each auction.
Once an auction is setup, users can add buyers and consignors to that specific
auction. When an auction is deleted, all clients stay in the database,
they are just no longer associated with the deleted auction.
The
Buyer Receipts window is used to check out
buyers. When the window opens, the buyer list is loaded with all buyers
for the current auction who bought an item during the auction. Once the
user finds the buyer in the list, the buyer's account information will then be
loaded. The cashier can then make adjustments to the account as needed and
print out receipts for the buyer.
The
Clients window is used to setup buyer and consignor
information. The Clients window is setup to allow users to find specific
clients quickly and update their information as needed. For buyers whose
information is already setup in the system, users can simply use the Assign
Buyer Number feature to get the buyer out to the bidding floor as quickly as
possible.
The
Enter Lots window is used to enter items into the
system. This can be done on the fly or before the auction, using the
Catalog section of the Auction Manager. The Enter Lots window has many
features built into it to reduce the keystrokes needed by the clerk and
therefore increase the clerks efficiency.
The
Catalog window is used to enter items into the system
before an auction. This enables users to print out the catalog to either
mail to prospective buyers or hand out the listing at the door. The catalog
can also be loaded into the Enter Lots section of the Auction Manager.
Once it is loaded, the clerk can navigate through all the pre-entered items and
update each accordingly.
The
Reports window is used to create various
printouts. Users can print consignor reports, auction reports, mailing
labels, catalog listings, and auction or specific consignor statistics.
We at Bowder understand that the auction business is a very fast paced
industry. Our goal was to create an application that could greatly
increase the efficiency of your business. Doing this allows you to sell
more items in less time. We also understand that each auction business is
different. Keeping this in mind, we were able to build a robust system
that encompasses the needs of all different types of auction businesses.
We also understand that we cannot encompass everyone's needs
with our application. However, since that is our goal, if you have any
suggestions on tools you could use that are not already provided please contact
us. We will be more than happy to look into your suggestion, and if
feasible, add your idea to the numerous tools already available.
